It's sad how a lot of good animation goes unappreciated. I've actually heard people call this scene from Nanoha bad animation because everyone else didn't sit around like statues while the one person in frame talked and moved around.

I know someone who was able to buy a house at 20 because his family gave him the money for it. He rents out his house and keeps the entire income, lives with his parents rent-free in his late 20s, and still has the gall to complain about people who haven't "worked as hard" as he has getting hand outs.

Price points are relatively stable, which I think is what you're getting at, but in the PC market, new hardware is constantly shifting down to lower price points. For example, 1k card may drop to ~700, then ~500, then ~300 then hit the more affordable 130-180 range.

Off the top of my head, I can recall 6 people I know who ended up moving in with someone they met in an MMO and are happy with the relationship years later. Then again, I also knew of several guys who were still in the closet who pretended to be girls in order to date other guys.

The domain was originally used for the Women's International Islamic University back in 2001. According to the article the current owner purchased the domain in 2004, but it's possible they're linked to the 2001 owners. Since there's not enough information to make judgement, shouldn't we give them the benefit of the

If you shop sales and know what parts give you a good value for your dollar, you can build a good PC for pretty cheap, assuming you have some of the basic parts to re-use (case/dvd/cords - if you've never had a pc before you can probably get some parts for free by asking around at offices - people that are upgrading

The reason yelling fire in a crowded building isn't protected is because it's considered an act that incites lawless behavior and has the potential to cause injuries and deaths among those in said building. Even if no one is injured, that doesn't preclude prosecution. Attempting to commit a crime, though not as

Six Flags is a private organization and can do what it wants with whomever it wants assuming it doesn't violate any laws such as anti-discrimination laws.

Obscenity, offensive speech("fighting words"), threats, false statements of facts, commercial speech, incitement, speech owned by people(IP rights), and child pornography don't have full First Amendment protections.

Threats of violence are not protected under the first amendment. The exception being if a regular person could understand the statement is clearly hyperbole and not an actual threat.

I'd be wary in trusting that data. It seems like there are too many uncontrolled variables which are likely skewing the results. I think sales figures for before and after demos were added to the six+ month old games mentioned would be much more meaningful.

An edit added a second post, ignore this.

I've heard anecdotal evidence of the U.S. trend starting when many people in top positions of companies started being hired from outside, often with a background in the financial sector. I haven't done my due diligence, so I don't know how true it is, but if so, maybe promoting from within could help matters? I'd

The problem is, so many business decisions seem to be focused on the short term. Gotta keep the shareholders happy for the quarterly earning reports right?

Racism against Whites is so prevalent that our cat's are starting to emulate human behavior. Black on white kitty racism! /cough

I wouldn't be surprised if it was done on purpose. Lawyer treats her like shit implying that she deserves to be treated like shit to try to discredit her testimony. I doubt he could get away with it if she was a skinny white girl though.

I had a site-account before the merger. Now that the options are social media accounts or burner, I'd rather run a single dedicated burner account for all Gawker sites than enter false information into a fake social media account.

First I'd like to thank you for bringing this up; I rarely read the comment sections here because of a lot of the intolerant speech they contain, and I'm a straight, light-skinned male.

Words speak louder than actions...wait, that's backwards isn't it? Even if I were to try to give her the benefit of the doubt, the most I could give is that she didn't realize what she was doing was racist. In which case her response should have been acknowledging her actions and apologizing to, and possibly
