I had no idea who he was until you mentioned his name, but can you provide a little background? From wikipedia it sounds like he wanted to integrate the UK basketball team before the university did (though obviously wikipedia ain’t gospel) so he sounds like he wasn’t a virulent racist or anything.

I also think the end of Casino Royale is a bit weak (though I think most of the rest of it is perfect) but works great as the end of the middle of a longer film.

Yeah I’m confused by that too...though I’m also one of the few who likes Quantum of Solace. To me the first two movies are great (when watched together) and everything after that is kinda garbage.

He probably stopped after Howard the Duck and Fantastic Four.

To me that was part of the comedy. The Beatles are, at this point, more of an idea than actual people.
