I had a 1991 S10 Extended cab (bought it for $2500 dollars and sold it to my brother several years ago. He still has it with 230k on the odometer). While the core of the truck is pretty reliable, it was a jiggly mess as for as structural integrity. I cannot imagine lopping the top off helping with the integrity. Oh,

I have heard the same horror stories from my co-worker who until recently worked at a VW dealership. It is a shame because I want to really like VW but the quality lapses are unacceptable in this day and age.

It does seem to be the contrarian view of interiors. Ironic considering that GM, Hyundai, Ford and hell even Chrysler are all making marketly better interiors.

GM actually used these bushings in the Cobalt. While the Cobalt was not a perfect small car (budget bin interior detracted from an otherwise competent car) one could see that GM was going in the right direction

All I can say is that it has become harder and harder to defend her actions. When Danica was experiencing some success in the Indycar series, I defended her from others thinking that she was not qualified. I even defended her from her distractors in her historic win in Japan.

I have never partaked in the wacky weed (seriously). That being said, I find real irony in that alcohol is legal and the old MaryJ is not. I have seen and worked traffic accidents/fatalities/domestic assaults as the direct result of alcohol. It all goes back to money.

Forget the BMW owner's backstory or even her request for money via a BMW Forum. Groups of people are just awful. Take a large group of people, add alcohol and a slimmest reason to act out ,and boom instant riot. Large groups of people suck. ( I worked in the airlines and then later in law enforcement. I have seen

I live in an older community that has an HOA. This typically goes against every moral fiber in my being. I was reassured by the seller of the house that the community is older ( most of the regulations have already expired and there is minor intervention in any household addition/outside renovation) and the HOA was

This is awful. Period. No snide jokes or comments needed.

Beat me to it. I yearn for a FFR Cobra. The kit car world is a lot like any other facet of automotive customizing. There are some abominations and generally poorly executed kits. Then there are quality companies like: FFR, Beck, Thunder Ranch, and others that make quality cars that pay homage to the originals yet

As an aside, I have bought several ex-rental cars for commuter vehicles. (In my past occupation, I usually put between 30-50K miles annually on my car and wanted a nearly new low mileage vehicle at a pretty good discount). I know that there may (probably) been hoonage in the car's past. However, I do the same thing

I think the wolves will die of a heart attack seeing this thing charging at them

I remember my father picking up his new 1976 Chevy Impala Station Wagon. As he left the dealership, he drove straight to the first traffic light and stopped. The Impala kept bobbing up and down when he braked. He tooki t back to the dealership and we found out that it left the factory without front shock absorbers.

I agree completely. If I were to recommend a solid, reliable car to a non-gearhead potential buyer, then a Camry would be tops on a list. It doesn't offend, the engines are reliable and quite, the ride is smooth and the resale value is great. For the vast majority of commuters, that is ALL they want.

As a former rabbit owner, did they start acting weird before the quake? Mine used to inform me of storms way before they hit the area.

Perfect response. McQueen possessed a sense of charisma that translates years after his death. He was a guy's guy, beloved by women the world over and yet to his death donated his time, money, and supplies to a reform school for boys (where McQueen spent some of his youth). He, like Paul Newman and James Garner (still

I used to see a guy tooling around in a Lamborghini Jalpa (in yellow) on a daily basis. I was in college then. I would see him leave out of the campus. (I commuted daily)

Best of luck with your potential job change. I remember Aryton Senna's passing when it was announced. I have always loved cars and had/have a passing interest in racing. While I did not follow F1 religiously (there seems to be a degree of apathy on both sides of the Atlantic about F1. F1 until recently was not real

What is this and the Dragon Corvette owner mated? Scary thought indeed

I tend to agree. The last time I visited Detroit (about 20 years ago) it seemed like the start of the exodus of manufacturing jobs. The fact remains that many former manufacturing centers are experiencing what Detroit has already gone through. In one sense, Detroit is a harbinger of things to come without stateside
