I was watching the broadcast last night, and the first time we even got a sort-of update on Flörsch’s condition was when Habsburg noted that he heard she was okay in a pit lane interview during the red flag. It was bad. There was a complete disconnect between the jovial tone of the announcers and the horrific crash

They don’t race F1 in Macau at all.

Another poster shared this vid.

Seriously, she was absolutely FLYING down the straightaway into that turn. Hell, she practically airlifted herself to the hospital.

What was the amount of information being given out to people at the race? People watching the broadcast noted that the tone of the announcer’s booth was........... not great:

Did her brakes fail?  Holy crap was she going fast when she launched.

Class 7 is fiberglass body on tube frame chassis.

So few compete?! There's over 350 vehicles each year!

The fact that at least 15% of racers don’t die/kill a bystander is sincerely amazing to me.

I think the point is: it doesn’t really make a difference to an innocent bystander whether the car that uncontrollably smashes into you has flashing lights or not.

And you’re more than welcome to criticize that! (Personally, I loved Skyrim to death but was realllly disappointed by Fallout 4.) I’m just hoping to explain to people what an engine actually is and why there’s no reason to panic when you see headlines like “Bethesda won’t change its engine for TESVI.”

While I highly appreciate your reporting and every point you make in this article is sound, that doesn’t change the fact that every Bethesda game since oblivion looks and feels like oblivion and those of us who played oblivion to the ground in 2008 are getting tired of playing oblivion for the nth time in 2018.

Except the writer of the Forbes article actually is gaming press, even if the site he writes for is not. He doesn’t write about anything other than games. If anything his article is an example of gamers not understanding the games they play.

You know how sometimes in RDR2 you don’t get a clean shot on an animal, but it’s too wounded to escape, and it falls on the ground flailing and crying until you walk up and finally put it out of its misery with your knife and then you feel sad and question your life choices?

Still an engine.

It’s to meet a requirement.  EU regulations mandate a maximum length for the tractor and trailer.  Use a cab-over, and you free up 4-6 feet for extra cargo.

I killed three guys who for no reason started shooting when I walked past them to the local pub.

Maybe I am the minority but I prefer women who don’t like makeup. The excuse that makeup helps build confidence is a lie in every way imaginable.

They tend to scatter light. 2 lane backroads with no street lights at night are the 2nd(behind brights) worst when you come up to someone with fog lights on.

Eh, I know it’s heresy, but drop in an LS series and a Corvette transaxle and you’d have yourself a running racecar for the cost of a scrap Corvette and a seat (Read: Not much).
