Seriously. It’s explained in the first sentence, in less words that Sir Malta’s reply.

Wow, now you’re just being ignorant. There are a few differences between the two trucks. Namely the front clip, some minor trim items, and the badging. The vast majority of parts are exactly the same. The frame, the cab, the bed & tailgate, the interior, the drivetrain, virtually everything.

I will admit that the Canyon does have some options available that the Colorado doesn’t. However, even the “better interior bits” (soft-touch dashboard & aluminum trim) are only available on SLE & SLT Canyons. The base Canyon has the same hard plastic dash as the Colorado does.

I’m honestly not sure where you guys are getting the idea that they have “better interior bits” or that the majority of their body panels are unique. Neither is true.

The hood and front fenders are indeed unique, as are the lights, grille, front bumper and wheels. The entire cab, doors, bed and tailgate are all identical.

No, they don’t. The majority of the body panels are identical between the Sierra and Silverado, and the interiors are identical apart from the logo on the steering wheel. Until the GMT800 in ‘99, ALL of the body panels were identical.

I disagree. Especially when comparing the Sierra to the Silverado, GMC is the poster child for badge engineering. That’s not to say I’m against it (I’ve owned three GMCs incliding my current DD), but I’m under no false illusion that there is nothing more than minor cosmetic differences between the pickups.

This is a well-written and informative explanation of mass vs. weight, but I think Mr. Granade meant “wing” here:

I didn’t know any of that, thank you!

I’m happily surprised that from what we can tell, at least most of the beachgoers were happy and excited that their umbrellas were getting blown around. I fully expected the opposite.

I was going to say the same thing as JayFr, but I’ll word it differently. Ohm’s Law will tell you that for a given power (V - volts), a higher resistance (R - ohms) decreases current (I -amperes).

1. The fan switch is still an electrical switch. The fact that the temperature and vent doors are operated by cables is irrelevant in this case.

Dajibans are well-enough known that they’re parodied in GTA V with the “Bravado Youga”. Bravado is already a parody of Dodge*, and many Dajibans have “YOUGA BASE” stenciled on them.

Yeah, I have to watch it again.

Canadian here, born after metrication, so I never had to learn both.

Judging by how controversial it was when MoH ‘10 used the Taliban as a faction, I wouldn’t hold my breath for a game featuring ISIS.

Meanwhile, in Canada, my neighbour has had a GTS-t parked in his front yard with the driveshaft laying in the dirt for months.
