It’s a remix of “The Grip”, one of the original songs made for the game’s score by Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, The Alchemist and Oh No.

Nah. Like the headline says, Collins doesn’t need TG anymore. If there is a 2002+ TG ex-employee to be bitter...

“I work behind the camera and I wouldn’t presume for one moment to think people are interested in what I do.”

The title isn't something like "Vettel Wins His First Race With Ferrari" with the pic of him with his finger up, it's "A Mercedes Didn't Win The Malaysian Grand Prix". That's already less direct than Deadspin's

Oh, it certainly does. A civilian model Taurus SEL 3.5L AWD has a curb weight of 4249 lbs. A similarly spec'd Explorer XLT 3.5L AWD comes in at 4697 lbs, 448 lbs heavier. The civilian Taurus is roughly 90% of the Explorer's weight, and that's not insignificant.

No, I don't think there are lots of differences in them. Identical engines, identical transmissions, identical optional AWD systems, even identical wheels. By your example, why would you expect more maintenance and upkeep on a FWD Tiguan than a Golf equipped with the same engine and transmission? The SUV obviously

"...but for now, to be honest, I don't care. I want to celebrate today. I want to get pissed probably tonight, so, uh, I don't really care"

WTF are you on about? Above, you suggested that a van makes a more appropriate police vehicle. Now you're mocking police vans?

Anyway, to give you a straight answer to why the CHP chose to replace their Crown Vics with the Explorer Utility rather than a sedan, none of the currently available police sedans meet their requirement of a 1,500 lb payload capacity. One could argue that that's excessive and they don't actually need that much

The Taurus might not be brilliant, but it's one of the only cars in the U.S. specifically engineered and sold for police duty. Currently, Ford offers the Taurus and Explorer, Chrysler has the Dodge Charger & Durango, and Ram 1500, and GM has the Chevrolet Tahoe, Impala, Caprice, Silverado, and Express. That's it.

I guess you don't realize that the the Explorer is based on the Taurus. Similar floorpan, same drivetrains. Both are sold by Ford as Interceptors built for police duty. I don't see how a mechanically similar car would need drastically higher upkeep.

I'm at least glad that there's a TON of comments calling him out.

Dr. Bober...

Early oughts? Other than perhaps two weeks in 1987, they were NEVER in style.

U mad, bro?
