I think you may have downplayed the importance of CTE. Most of the changes were implemented at the suggestion of ordinary players who had already purchased and played the game, and were then tested by ordinary players in real-world conditions.

It's been mentioned twice already, but the photos didn't do it justice. VW Rabbit / Mk. 1 Golf. The GTI (even the USDM one) looks nice and all, but it lacks the clean simplicity of Guigiaro's original plain, round-headlight Rabbit/Golf.
