The backup camera seems unnecessary on a lot of cars, but that mandate won't have such a profound effect as the sealed beam headlamp requirement that was in effect in the U.S. from 1940 until 1983. On one hand, I agree. Easter eggs are fun in many games that don't take themselves too seriously (GTA, Borderlands, etc.), but they're pretty worthless and out-of-place in a (relatively) serious first-person shooter like BF.
