Yeah, what they are doing is appropriation. Blackface is a whole other kettle of racism.

Thank you. I’m not a fan of Kim, or any of the Kardashians, but accusing her of blackface or appropriating black features is a bit racist/colorist because Kim was born that way. She’s part Armenian - she naturally is a darker shade of pale. This author is a pale white lady, and her post is pretty ignorant. It’s not

It’s def. gold. Maybe blue.....white!

No. It’s not appropriate. This is objectively and inarguably NOT blackface. Find something else to call it.

The exposure is different but it’s definitely the same top. Look at her eye make up, it’s the same. The lighting is different but it’s the same picture.

I completely agree. This example is pushing it way too far.

I refuse to accept that bad photoshop editing can be considered blackface now. That’s a bridge too far.

Blackface is something specific. I’m not really supportive of it’s continued expansion into more and more situations.

This picture is a PSA against too-small bras, not a case of blackface. And I say this as a Kardashian hater.

But, even if the picture is darker, is it blackface? It seems crazy to dilute the term to that extent.

I have also never given any bothers about someone seeing my butthole. Like I didn’t even think about it. But now I feel kinda cheated. I assume my boyfriend has seen mine a bunch but I’ve never seen his. I really have no interest in seeing it but I kinda feel like I’m owed one look at it now for the sake of equality.

no you didn’t. You said your five ear old kid listens to Lorde therefore Kid’s music.

What kind of halfwit thinks Lorde would be kid’s music? Don’t you have a Kid Rock concert to swagger on over to, “duder” ?

...What rock have you been living under? Lorde isn’t the god damn Wiggles, of course she’s not for kids.

I know, wtf, right? Goddamn Lorde taking up virtual space that could be used for some 50 year white man’s music.

Omg please get the fuck over yourself.

I love Greenlight. The first time I heard it I absolutely thought it had a strange structure but it works. You know who else had an album full of weird pop songs? Alanis with Jagged Little Pill.

Wut

The latest from Nick Offerman was this Father’s Day-themed Lagavulin commercial he made with his dad, it’s so cute:

Liberals can’t even shoot straight.
