Yeah, neither do I.
Yeah, neither do I.
No I do not remember that.
I have a theory that “if someone accuses other people of something that those other people likely aren’t doing, that means it’s something the accuser is doing and hiding.”
Ryan Seacrest is upset that Katy Perry is being offered way (waaaay) more to do American Idol than he is. [Page Six]
Yeah, Cosby, because the thought of someone making you ingest something against your will and knowledge is pretty fucking horrifying, huh?
Now, all of a sudden, I can’t use it?”
It also explains why her friend was perfectly content with a gay boyfriend.
Are you kidding? I think it was pretty straightforward that she kept hitting Dong for bunker/Reverend trauma related reasons. When they finally do it, she says the fact that he’s in handcuffs makes her brain feel calm.
Exactly this. Her first instinct with the rich boyfriend is to cover his mouth and hold him down for sex, because that’s what was always done to Kimmy. It’s all there it’s just more subtle. I’m glad she finally said “rapist” though for sure but we did know for a fact that Kimmy is a multiple-rape survivor. Hitting…
That was definitely jarring, but fit in with the show’s attempt to play the bunker mostly for laughs, but let darkness pop up when you get too comfortable, which I think is effective.
The violent rejection thing with Dong seemed like a slapstick depiction of immaturity
Never watched an SVU episode in my life, and I agree with everyone else’s interpretation of Kimmy’s history. There’s always been an incurrent of sexual assault in her story. The fact that she finally called out the fact that the Rev. was a rapist more or less proves that that interpretation was the right one.
“Like...how can she understand nothing about the world, but can call a rapist a rapist?”
It was...remember her and Dong’s experience trying to get freaky and she kept hitting him. I think this was the first time she actually said the word, though, and it was mentioned more than once. Yeah, it was in passing which somehow made it a little less jarring...but still totally jarring. Like...how can she…
No, it’s been a clear pattern of abuse, which was confirmed by her then literally saying she was raped this season by calling the reverend a rapist
There was something in the first season where she says something about there being weird sex stuff in the bunker, and in her relationship with that British-sounding rich guy she had some...odd ideas about sex. Then she kept hitting Dong when he tried to make out with her in bed at that abandoned hotel. So...it’s…
It has. She says there was weird sex stuff. But, more to the point, in her first hookup in season 1 pre-Dong she thinks the next step is some pretty disturbing stuff. And with Dong she can’t stop herself from attacking him when they are about to have sex even though she is consciously willing. They finally have sex in…
In the first season she says “And yes, there was weird sex stuff in the bunker” (or something to that effect) in passing when Tituss finds out she’s one of the mole women, but that’s all I can think of.
Kimmy calling the Reverend a rapist was really jarring. I had to stop the ep and ask my husband if that had ever been addressed or called out before and neither of us could remember if it had.
