I’m really sad to see both LeBlanc and Reid go. Matt obviously made a career decision and that’s not up for discussion or debate... but to remove Rory and stick him solely on the B-show is a travesty. He and Harris had great chemistry...

Rory was the best part of the new lineup, dammit.

I agree. I really enjoyed the last season and felt like the trio finally hit their stride. And now another shake up?

getting rid of Rory is a mistake. Harris is great but they should also have kept Reid on the show.

So, were they trying to look like extras from Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels in all these publicity photos, or is it just a coincidence that I’m expecting Vinnie Jones to show up and shoot them all any second now?

I’m really bummed about the Rory Reid situation. He brought such a youthful energy to the show, and he really seemed to get on well with Harris and the now-departed LeBlanc. Last season was tremendous, as it seemed that everything was coming together for them in terms of personality.

100% agree. While Harris was the obvious success (I genuinely love his personality and presenting style), Reid was a damn close second. I loved his voice on the show and the way he would try to expand the show beyond the normal supercar scene.

Too...handsome?

Extras from a Guy Ritchie movie?

BBC just needs to give up at this point

Huge bummer they lost Rory Reid, I hope he left on his own accord, because if they shuffled him out, it’s a huge mistake. I was bummed at the loss of LeBlanc, but with both Reid and LeBlanc gone, I am not entirely sure I’ll give it a go.

It wasn’t that it was twice too long, it just needed more story.

Well, if she develops stuff as bad as Jessica Jones season 2, then I’m going to say that WB WAAAAAAAAY overpaid her.

I don’t understand how season one of Jessica Jones was so good and season two was such garbage. I’m not sure if this is a good thing for the show or a bad one, or if the Marvel Netflix series are just all cursed to have at least one awful season. Judging by season two of Luke Cage, I’d lean more toward the latter.

So many squees here. Nora Jemisin is a phenomenal writer and an amazing human being and deserved both her Hugo three-peat and her shining middle finger straight into Ted Beale’s face. All Systems Red is phenomenal, and I am salivating for more Murderbot. I loved Wonder Woman, even if I was kinda rooting for Thor:

It was a really strong batch of nominees this year, especially in short fiction, so kudos to all the winners. I have a soft spot for Uncanny Magazine and it was lovely to see them win (in excellent, competitive categories too). But Jemisin stole the show for sure. Good stuff.

My knee-jerk instinct is to try and spread the Best Novel awards around to get more books recognized, and avoid giving more than one award to any given series. But I’ll be damned if that series didn’t earn an award for each novel in it. I only read all three books earlier this year, but I was absolutely entranced.

I see a recurring theme in the comments: sure it’s nice, but you’ll want more truck from your truck at some point.

fuck that. film the cops regardless.

Kamara’s language is going to make Minnesotans shudder.
