Not to mention people seem to think nepotism is just a Hollywood thing. People get jobs because of who their relatives are all the time. I would wager more then 50% of jobs world wide come less from your skills and more from who you know.

True, but I don’t think you realize just how hard “getting the interview” is for a random actor.
But getting the interview is most of the game in Hollywood. And if getting the interview isn’t a big deal, then the nepo babies should do just fine without their parent pulling strings to get them auditions.
Thank YOU!
Jesse, this is wonderful. Thanks!
Well he was a “rock star”, if there is one thing models and actresses LOVE it’s rock stars, even if they are terrible people which he seemingly was. Also Punky Brewster grew up and got HOT AF.
Orange County, the movie with Tom Hanks’ kid and Jack Black before he really got big, pegged this song exactly right.
At least I can almost enjoy 4 Non Blondes ironically, unlike Train.
A testament to the power of nostalgia, Butterfly was a song I got sick of back in the day but I currently think the cover/revival from the Barbie movie slaps.
I felt that, right in my unshaved chest.
Oh yeah! Rivers Cuomo even wrote their biggest hit, but Cold was kinda worthless other than that. No idea why they thought Weezer’s audience would love them. Would go over like a lead balloon.
Yeah, there was a brief resurgence of hard partying around the millennium, marked by Buckcherry, Crazy Town, and Motley Crue’s the Dirt book (I remember people who NEVER read passing that book around, sharing stories, etc.). Then I feel like the Darkness and Andrew WK took an ironic stance on that image and basically…
So it’s less that “he is survived by his children” and more “his children survived him.”
Ugh. He’s such a hack.
“He appeared on several addiction-based reality shows with Dr. Drew Pinsky: Celebrity Rehab 1, Celebrity Rehab 2, Sober House 1, and Sober House 2.”
I detested “Butterfly” but I actually really liked his work on Paul Oakenfold’s “Starry Eyed Surprise”. That said, I never really thought of Shifty until I watched Celeb Rehab and I was impressed with how ingrained he was in the LA scene (everybody in LA knew him), his charisma and his neediness, but mostly how…
If you read about his personal life, this dude had horseshoes in both pockets.
My biggest memory of Crazy Town will always be from an MTV special about OzzFest. They dedicated a few minutes to dunking on Crazy Town, who got kicked off the tour for being disruptive. They cut to Crazy Town’s set, Shifty is trying to get the crowd going, and they’re just having none of it. Two soundbites that stick…
Middle aged is not young. For tatted up rock star 49 is probably old age.
I would not call 49 young. I mean its too soon for most but its not like he was a fresh faced 18 year old
