I don’t think little girls cared so much as adults who understand or know of The Great War did I find it a strange jumping off point. Yes, since that was is very convoluted and trench warfare was pretty damn brutal. Little girls just wanted to see Diana at her best and the movie delivered. Let’s give credit though

I would like to see that, I mentioned in a different post, that I want to see big bards and ww go at it.

I’ll give Homecoming a little more credit, I mean at least Zendaya made comments and observations that needed to be said, and they showed another side to black girls experience in what their high school years could were like, it was a step up from before. WW seemed like the experience was Diana’s alone, but I felt the

Really? Cause I saw limited promotion - at first - then people got pissed, and then it was promotion galore. Like everywhere I turned it was WW after a while. I also think that DC did that because all there other shit was so bad they wanted a soft opening, they were moving in caution. And I partially kind of agree

Accurate gif!

THIS^^^^ ( If it’s anything like Wonder women, this will be fantastic...) Maaaan they better go somewhere with that. Unreal.

Don’t worry I have been shouting that from the rooftops, and people look at me with stank eye. My question is well shouldn’t you be pissed that they didn’t even come with an original concept for your girl? Cause I would be hella mad. I paid hard ass money and this is what you give me? Come on.

Well... Zach Snyder is Richard Kelly with a vest.

I mean yes, but, the bar was so low at that point. Someone could have put a melted snickers bar on the screen and it would have been a better three acts. Logan was...fine, I mean they went full dark and depressing and killed an entire black family so at that point I tuned out. The concept for using The Great War is a

RIGHT!!! Like getting Helen Mirren or Betty White? Or even one of the female actors from Mad Max. That would have been cool.

THANK YOU!!! ^^^^ THIS! When I first heard about WW coming into the fray. I honestly thought they were going to use Big Barda (I love Big Barda) as the villain or antihero. So it was bit of a letdown with the final enemy.

OH MY GOD. The all female military guard of Wakanda! WAKANDA FOREVER!!! I mean I would just sign up, just pass out the weapons. Like everything about them was fantastic. I wanted to know even more about how they train, what other weapons they use. I want more!!!

I don’t know how someone can misuse David Thewlis like that. I’ve loved him since Naked. It’s a shame brilliant, underrated actor.

It just wasn’t it was like OK soda. Wasn’t terrible wasn’t great it was just ok. The great war is an interesting war, I kind of wish they went a little more involved into the tunneling warfare. I mean peaky blinders did it and that shit looked terrifying.

I came to this when watching WW. If I fell asleep 3 TIMES during the movie. Then had to rewind to remember where I was, and then didn’t even give a shit about the boss. Not a good look. I mean I didn’t fall asleep when watching The Assassination of Jessie James and that movie is long as hell.

Pretty much. I mean they flat out murder journalists in their own office for trying to bring the truth to light. So I don’t know if anyone is going to take the time for this person.

I kind of hope it does. Unpopular opinion. WW wasn’t really that great of a movie. There I said it.

Have a great time! I cried like a lot. I didn’t care. It was joyous tears.

Hollywood main game is money. It’s always been that way. Until we have more people of color who own and run or manage production companies. More advertising / marketing companies (with people of color) at the helm. More people of color within the background then we can put more films in the foreground. Until the cash

I don’t really read AV Club anymore, but I honestly believe that they are only focused on cinema placated to white audiences. Which is sad, there are so many films they can explore and learn from but they are fans of films like Phantom Thread...yeah that’s all I can say about that. And although Phantom Thread is
