I feel you. I also spent the majority of my childhood in a small town in a rural county about 30 minutes outside of Syracuse. The amount of abject and outward racism always managed to still shock me. It’s depressing.

The areas surrounding Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, Binghamton and Watertown are very rural, poor and vote republician reliantly. If you look at a map of NY State, it is largely red with small blue seas representing these cities. This is how you can explain the fact that we have douche canoe so like Chris Collins…

Have you ever known the Orange Orator (Ha!) to have a coherent thought? Or, for that matter, be able to express a series of thoughts that are in anyway, shape, or form related? He’s way to easily distracted by jingling keys, shiny things, butterflies, bright lights, TV’s, etc.
