I was just informed via direct message that, not only is The Root responsible for ending Bernie Sanders’ campaign, but we are also part of the “black elite.”

There’s no shortage of reasons that America SHOULD have universal healthcare, accessible and useful public transportation, equitable funding for schools, infrastructure, childcare, green energy and a host of other pillars of modern society. All of the data points to these things making a far more even playing field…

This election was never about policy most voters main concern was with beating trump. That’s it. Bernie failed to get the Democratic  base to vote for him. They didn’t think he could beat trump he was to much of a risk. People keep talking about policy when that wasn’t what mattered the most this election. 

There’s never going to be a “legit, rogue ass Progressive Party formation and infiltration” because progressives suck at organizing. As evidenced by the groups I mentioned.

Oof, the only people I now who spout that bs come from demographics that firmly support the Republicans, because in the end they know they can sit another one out. It’s about not so subtlety punishing you know who wink wink nudge nudge.

I’d have had no problem pulling the proverbial lever for Bernie. At all. Not one iota.

Blame the black voters in the south because your candidate didn’t even bother to reach out to them in 4 farking years. You wasn’t going to farking vote anyway, or you would’ve did it by mail right now. 

I’m under no impression that Obama’s administration was remotely close to perfect. The last 4 years however have made that seem like sunshine and rainbows in comparison.

My hope is that he realized that he is a United States Senator, which is an incredibly powerful position for pushing a legislative agenda.

Ugh. Just imagine having the much more fiery Warren in this position instead, hammering Trump every fucking day for the last 6 weeks.
