    @SynthOno: No, the Blender is as powerful as the sum of it's parts, the quality of the blades, transmission, casing, build quality, choice of material, design choices etc. My point is, that this is something that is done at the "factory", not something that most customers worry about, just that it's "good enough" and

    @Canon7D-Fanboy: People like simplicity. It's the curse of the personal computer industry, no one upgrades their TV's or care how powerful motor their kitchen blender has, or if you can upgrade it. It's just my opinion of course.
