They also kept all the small efficient commuter/city car concepts of the late 80's/early 90's from becoming reality.

Automotive senility is a real Hündin.

Okay, I seriously have to ask; have you actually driven for any reasonable distance a vehicle that has these systems installed, and if so, have you used them for any reasonable amount of time? I’m not trying to be a dick, but you really sound like your talking from a place of book knowledge and anecdotal opinion, not

Okay, you do realize that you responded back by repeating what you’ve already said without actually addressing my point? Anyway...

Everybody really does need to take it down a notch with this whole safety thing (or lack there of).

They’re supposed to. Should be handled by the crew chief overseeing the whole stop.

Why would the system stay disabled? That makes no sense. Hell, why not just have the car come to a stop, shut down in the middle of the road, and not be able to be turned back on till it goes to the dealer? That way they can be publicly chided for ignoring the warning notifications. Yes, it’s an extremist straw-man,

It’s definitely not corvette based.

I have huge issues with cars that just automatically shut off safety systems when there is another option. If the driver fails to obey the safety warnings, the car should engage the hazard lights, begin slow deceleration to a complete stop, and sound an alarm inside the car while slowing and outside when stopped.

It take about a year to prep Bebop style Ganymede Rock Lobster...ain’t nobody got time for that.

Bebop style bell peppers and beef would be a good vegetarian option.

I’m gonna call shenanigans if Ganymede Sea Rat isn’t on the menu.

I’m pretty sure that the actual question is: Would a reasonable person engage a “limited” automated vehicular control system in the same general location that said system had previously, and repeatedly, shown to be deficient in the execution of expected operation?

Why should I? I’m pretty sure I’ve got auto reader on my phone. I’ll just let that take care of it for me, I’ve candy to crush dang’it.

I read Sharks the first time and then realized it was Starks and then immediately went back to Sharks because that was more awesomer.

It’s also careless of the left rear on mechanic to have his leg placed in the path of the car.

It’s a failure of a completely needless technology that clearly isn’t robust enough in its algorithm to account for off-nominal scenarios.

The automatic release system isn’t accurate enough.

I can’t believe that they’re still running that ungainly screen-glued-onto-the-dashboard look. It looks like some kind of 7th-tier aftermarket job done on the cheap by that one friend that “really wants to get in to the business”.
