So when does the "DC Universe" begin? The second iffy Superman?
So when does the "DC Universe" begin? The second iffy Superman?
I know there were some false starts with other recent Wonder Woman incarnations, but once the light was green, this was a guaranteed hit. I doubt even the stench of Batman/Superman wasn't really going to slow it down if it was decent.
Daisy Ridley was just the lead in the highest grossing domestic movie ever, and I don't recall her being sexualized.
Shit, duh. I've been overlooking them since I've never seen them. Though they do seem to support Silverstone's point a bit. Are there 3 or 4 Hunger Games.
Actually, Zoey Saldana prob does deserve mention. She's not the "lead" in anything (well, Colombiana) , but her action Box Office is beyond enormous….
Wasn't counting it, but was counting Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Was not counting Gone in 60 Seconds either, but I've never seen. Dunno how central she is.
Guess I mean 'Female Action Lead". Were you thinking Sigourney? Because she prob comes close.
So… is Angelina Jolie currently the most successful female action star of all time? Seems like an unlikely action hero given her other roles.
And probably lazy.
"Most people"…eh. I believe YOU don't care, but it'd be hard to quantify "most people". Female action leads aren't new.
Successful female action leads aren't new. But this level of success kind of is.
Song 2. Has the quieter, strummy bits + the 'woo-hoo's". And it's only about 2 minutes long, so the scene won't drag in its 3rd incarnation.
He's on screen a lot, but it's always seemed like Xavier/Magneto to me. Perhaps I'm remembering wrong.
Seeing as the Wolverine movies have brought in over $1.4 billion dollars, I bet Marvel will live with that critique. Now why Rogue was the center of one movie only to become so much an afterthought that she was edited out of DoFP I can't say.
The film series (outside of tje Wolverine flicks) are pretty much all about Charles and Eric. It's served the series pretty well outside of Last Stand and Apocalypse. How close it is to the comic, I dunno.
The video for Street Spirit did feature mucho slo-mo…
Do they age appropriately in the source material? Not trying to be smart, but it could be tricky. The setting/social climate changes, but our heroes remain the same.
I wanted to argue but…. pretty accurate. Didn't hate Apocalypse, but….
Perhaps it was a lame joke if it's being taken literally. My honest take is that they are shit people with shit integrity and deserve no slack whatsoever. But an all too substantial minority of this country has signed off on this behavior, so we should probably get used to it.
Sanders, Spicer, Melania…. maybe we should cut them some slack. 1.) they are just doing as their employer tells them, and 2.) they've already sold their souls. They don't understand what they are doing is wrong.
It's that thing where dudes with 2 inch wangs openly get to brag about how bad they would rail that hot bartender if she were just a little bit thinner.
