The ladies arc improved as it went along (despite being asked to play drunk so, so often, Deschanel and Simone still get some laughs), Winston and Schmidt were funny. But… pretty average all strung together. Even Cece's college stuff fails because 1.) I thought she was doing broadcasting school, not community

As someone who has watched his fair share of "Paranormal Witness" and "My Haunted House" episodes, I've always wanted to see a better acted/higher production value version of those shows. Of course, it would have to be more serialized than AHS, and this clearly has some twists ahead, but it hasn't lost me yet.

Usually when the kind of shows they are mimicking here have 'real' video, they will show it with a caption stating so.

I don't think he was planning to threaten him. I thought he was just going to apologize and try to talk it out. Obviously a bit misguided, but…

I feel for the actress sometimes. She must be running out of ways to whine.

Yeah, very quickly. An underutilized Lucy Punch is her new boss.

She was gainfully employed last we saw. But a teacher, so summers off? Schmidt's job is a tiny bit up in the air right now.

Yeah, the home buying stuff isn't huge. They could've squared it away next episode after some time passed, but they wanted to do thier standard season premier group moment.

This show is big on skipping/FFW stuff. Nick and Schmidt own a combined 10% of the bar, yet they can use it as collateral? Jess 'still' has feelings for Nick, but she was all set to move in with another dude little more than a season ago. And thats just skipping over the ludicrous portrayal of morgage loans.

I don't know how they expect to drag this out. Cece hiding her feelings for Schmidt last season 1., got old quickly and, 2., was a storyline we just saw last season. Plus, it would be pretty shitty of the friends to keep it under their hats for so long. That said, I think Jess will just 'get over it' this season.

Or, seeing as she's an Executive Producer on the show, perhaps they are just wrapping up another long day at the office thinking, 'Thanks for the steady work, Ms. Deschanel'.

It always irks me that people say she always plays the same role. I mean, she kinda has for the last 5 years, but she had a fairly diverse indie career before she was Summer.

She also got divorced, remarried, had a child, and is co-founder of a fairly successful website. But she once asked Siri "Is that rain?", so her image is fairly etched in granite at this point.

So Brona just sort of wanders off to… whatever, and Dracula takes his ball and goes home, choosing to pout instead of seeking vengeance. Those are the biggest sort of ???s we are left with that seemed lacking as a payoff. John, sadly, seems destined to live out his (seeming) immortality in the sort of beautifully

And I suppose The Following doesn't count because the first season is questionable enough on its own? I agree with your point, though. Especially considering they've exhausted the source material and burnt off a couple Shamalanesque 'twists' already.

It's only fair in hindsight, but I'll bet there are a bunch of True Detective fans that would say you've left something off your list.

So Kate, rather that rid the world of the worst of its residents, just struggles free merely to give some 'tude before offing herself? Eh……

An interesting approach for the show since he's #1 in the 'actor' category by a wide margin.

Not sure how the could help but notice. But that I'm complaining…

Deluca da was kind of a fake at being a doc
