First, obviously, it has to do with how such a toxic culture was formed inside Blizzard in the first place... which should be pretty obvious given the current state of affairs inside the company, some of it’s top executives, and how they are reacting to it. It’s not something that happened overnight, it’s something

Definitely trust the intentions of a person that frames the repeated use of blatantly hateful language as “something Kotaku disagrees with”

It sure is weird how often one side conflates racism/misogyny/homophobia/asshole with “politics”. Truly inexplainable...

Commenting about whether the government budget should be spent on defense or domestic programs is a political discussion. When someone makes a bunch of bigoted and misogynist comments, they aren’t being political, they are just an asshole and deserve to be outed for it.

He doesn’t even work for them, and hasn’t for years.

Let’s not forget that they are simultaneously arguing that the person should be able to say whatever they want without being exposed... but also that this website SHOULD NOT be able to say what they want in kind.

lmao, I absolutely love the paper-thin veil you fart-sniffing morons attempt to hide behind on here. Go munch orange shitake, you tool.

I don’t agree with that dude

Stop reading Kotaku articles if they infuriate you so much.

Did you seriously not read the part where he said that stuff while he was working at Blizzard? It’s not hard to look at the dates in the article.

Whenever someone writes “I don’t agree with him but he has every right to his opinions” either has no empathy or is a disingenuous troll. Nobody here is arguing that he said anything prohibited--that’s never really the point when someone is outraged over bigotry.

your reading comprehension and/or critical thinking skills display the only disgrace here.

Good grief you only seem to comment to say how much you hate the site.

The only problem is that it only pays off if you go for 100%, as well as do some research on the story, including reading that one novel

I assumed getting murdered by Krampus at the end of a hotly contested Call of Duty match would be objectively funny, but it seems players are less than pleased with the mythological creature’s ability to affect online competition so dramatically.

Well, at least Call of Duty players are taking a stand about something.

good lord, fudge off. It’s a couple of weeks, it’s just fun, and it changes a game that doesn’t flipping change much.

Maybe it means this?

straight up ‘you criticize society, yet you live in society?’ energy there, fuuuuuck off with it
