Agreed. Mind you I think its because for me that Dumb Battle Mode (even though I still enjoyed it) was Fishman Island/Punk Hazard/Dressora so Oda has since regained his footing. 

Earth Child was a super interesting concept that unfortunately tripped over itself immediately. A comic about two parents (one super and one normal) raising a supernatural child? Fun! The iteration where the mother ‘dies’ half the manga is devoted to getting her back and then speed run through the child growth/family…

Agreed. I don’t know if its cause I’m getting older but I find myself loving the slice of life/comedy series far more than the typical SJ manga.

Strongly agree. This, RuriDragon (hopefully the artist is doing better!), and Polar Opposites have been a refreshing change of pace.

Sort of me, maybe a few years after but it’s all the same. There’s something about movies made prior to lets say... 2008, that felt special. Now everything is waaaaay to formulaic.
