2nd Gear: Audi All-Star Resigns Rather Abruptly

I found 9...at one Ford dealership. I guess you arn’t looking very hard for that truck.

getting tired of Tesla. Looking forward to Rivian and the different approach they have taken is a breath of fresh air

I can do most of those things without looking away from the road.......

I’ve used that site before. Works well but unfortunately it is tough to find an actual station with ethanol free pump gas. When I look at MA, most is VP racing which is just pre-packaged ethanol free gas. Its about $7/gal. I’d happily pay $4, but 7 is a lot.

I’ve been driving a Volt for 6.5 years. When it came out it was really the only one of it’s kind.

Yet paying off student loans and having universal healthcare is socialism...but those profitable oil companies still need handouts.

“Recall the false promises about corn and cellulosic ethanol,”

What about longevity and disposal? Embodied energy covers the entire life cycle, from harvesting raw materials, to eventual disposal.

The IFO study, bizarrely, seems to advocate for natural gas-powered vehicles as a “transitioning” technology on the way to cars powered by hydrogen, which, sure, I guess, and “‘green’ methane,” a product which does not exist.

The only thing keeping me from buying electric is the cost of the car and the cost of electricity. In the Northeast our rates are high, which dulls the savings. Add to that the fact that a moderate hatchback (bolt/leaf) vs equivalent gas car is a $15k-20k premium, and I'll be buying gas for the foreseeable future.

Dear American Car Enthusiast,

This x100. Its not the IFS the killed the FJ as look at the 4Runner is had a great following and aftermarket. Its the fact it didn’t have a removable top and doors and that it was only a 2 door. The 4 Door Wranglers make up over 80% of total sales. If Jeep had only kept the Wrangler a 2 Door it might have died off as

If the Bronco comes with IFS, it will be a one generation and done.

As a past FJ owner and current Wrangler owner I disagree. They are already making it in both 2 door and 4 door versions, and removable doors and top. All things Toyota failed to do which left the FJ to die.

Which do you think does more to support American jobs/families:

OHMYGOD. You got a removable top and doors. Just be OK with the fact that it’s not a lifted ford focus.

A: Usually solid axles are stronger than independent suspension. Most of this relates to the axle shafts and how a solid axle will place the u-joints or CV-joints at a lower answer; the technical answer is longer than I want to get into here.

Jeep needs some competition

I have a MGB that I love to death. I love driving around in that car! But every time I start it up, there’s a little part of me that says, “Damn the expense... you’ll live longer in a new Miata”
