Bought one 2 months ago. I’ll start wrenching when it gets cold outside. Childhood dream do come true sometimes... And I found some really cool stuff while cleaning it!

I have to agree on the E39 M5 and the Carrera GT. But I’m biased. Every time I wash my car I always think to myself... and I don’t see how this car could possibly age poorly over time. The proportions are just spot on and the curves and bulges are in the right place. Discreet but menacing. I just love it. Which hasn’t

Gotta be the SM - quite simply; it’s at the tip of the spear.

Useful read. Being in the RV business, I approve this message and will link customer’s to it if need be :)

Good and informative read. Good job sir.

E46 is one of the best car ever built in my opinion. Timeless. But in the all time greatness category, the E9x is impossible to beat. It just do everything so well without a single irritating factor. I absolutely love mine and plan to keep it until I die.

Great read :) I owned a TL Type S 2003 and loved the car. Family car is now a 14 SH AWD TL. Good car - not in love with it :/

We operate our family owned RV and motorhome business the same way. Never push. Never try to convince. Always explain as best you can and let the customer decide, then move on. Going strong since 44 years ;)

E55 AMG. Great engine, rock solid car, it'll still look good in 10 years. Hey, it's an AMG for the price of a good bicycle, what more do you want.

93 4cyl MX6 manual was my second car when I was 17 and I loved it. Confortable, very reliable and economical. Just a great little coupe... which is about ready for a comeback right about now!

I think so to... But the side view.... holly s.... love those lines.

The answer is: the 10 years old CLS AMG. All others are copycats.

Kudos buddy. You need a whole lot of credits just for trying. Your reward is that it worked. You just did what 99% of the population would never do...

+1 all across the board. To me, it's still the very best all around car ever built. Would rather drive mine than any Ferrari or Porsche I ever drove, not that I don't appreciate them. But this car does everything well without any caveats. Pretty rare accomplishment in the auto industry.

If you don't buy THIS, you're an *** **** !

For 20K, I'd buy back my last B8 A4 in Sport trim. If not, Merc E300 4matic (06-09) works really well if you need a little more space. I was asking myself the same question a couple weeks back, but with a more limited budget! Check it out and share your thoughts on a 4K or less beater: Link

Great thread. Love the E39, always will. I came within inches of buying a 6MT 540i M about a year ago. In restrospect, I should've... Great car don't age. This is one.

Largest car show is the Hershey show in October. And probably by a good margin.

Glad they walked out. But from a piloting standpoint, the PIC didn't do so well. He failed at trimming the aircraft for best glide, hitting 2000ft per minute descent at times... wasting precious flight time in the process. Times that would've gave him a chance to find a better landing field which didn't seem to be any
