I disagree. Mainly because look at how many people hide their identities and aren't total dickweeds. It isn't anonymity that causes people to be a dickweed, it's that they are indeed dickweeds. The only thing using real names does is give those dickweeds access to your information and the knowledge of where to send

that's a lot of big words there but have you even played Fez? The game is a brilliant "anything can happen" puzzle box that makes me want to break out the paper and draw a map like I'm eight years old and playing Milon's Secret Castle or something. I don't know Phil and don't pay much attention to his social media

I wish that was the case, but if you've ever been to an ESPN forum you'd know that lack of anonymity doesn't stop any of this behavior. I'm sometimes astounded at what people will say with their name, and entire FB profile, attached to it.

Beary interested!

Something stupid.

Surprise: I am going to moderate the shit out of this discussion. Say something nice or don't say it at all.

> If a male developer pocketed thousands and thousands of dollars through a Kickstarter, you don't think he'd get abuse?

The only problem with a prank that causes widespread panic and law enforcement to show up is that it's so awesome, how do you ever top yourself?

Would I have more fun buying it for the PS4 with the exclusive items or will I have more fun playing if I buy the game for the console my friends have and in time will be able to get the items.

This is such a great time to be pale, especially because white people have great new ways their coloring can be described, like "mozzarella undertones" or "exotic, mashed potato skin."

This is a whole different can of worms, but no, if a male indie developer's ex-girlfriend posted on Tumblr about him cheating on her, that would probably not be a story on Kotaku. I wouldn't consider either of those people to be public figures in the video game industry.

There's a number of us truly disabled gamers out there on Twitch. You don't always get to hear us, you don't always get to see us on a facecam, some of us are terminally ill and putting our last best footsteps FORWARD, and some days we're just too sick or in too much pain to make our show time. Sometimes you can't

Josh Shaw out: heroism.

Well, I mean if you make sad faces I guess I have no choice...

You only have speed pants? LOL I have a whole speed SUIT. FOR SCIENCE.

Nothign worse than playing with friends whom I like to call "inventory starers". Spend 15 mins at at a time scrutinising every little detail instead of just trying it out and going from there. "is this item better?" "well are the numbers bigger?" "no" "there you go"

A smarter company would just let you download them on either system, like Sony does with the PS4/PS3/Vita.

You could also spend, like, $9 on an HDMI switcher, and have permanent inputs for just about everything you could imagine (since it sounds like it's not the component/composite hookups you're short on...though they make switchers for those too)
