They’re listening to all the bad press convincing people not to buy their game, which affects their quarterly earnings and bottom line, but that’s all they’re listening to.

It’s a balancing act

That’s the thing with EA though. Every now and then they renew their lesson on goodwill, only to go back to their old ways (if not worse) not long after. This is just temporary.

And when they re-institute them (as they inevitably will) I’d wager that they’ll spin it so that they gave players time in order to level up and gain a competitive edge before providing new players the “choice” to catch up to the veterans without being at a disadvantage.

lol not only 40 hours to unlock the character...then you have to grind its upgrades. You’re looking at about 75 hours with luck.

I cant understand how people can justify that amount of time just to unlock one character. You could play some awesome single player games with those 40 hours, and it wouldn’t be repetitive grinding. Its just stupid.
