“Hard hit marine sector”
What are you even on about? Every boat builder and marina is going absolutely nuts right now, they’ve never had more work or money ever before.
You absolutely will get ticketed to for impeding traffic if you sit on the left lane on an NJ highway. There’s a reason they post “Keep Righ Pass Left” signs every other mile on the roads here- they take that shit seriously. Jersey state police are pretty lenient about speeds- think left lane traffics flowing at 80-85…
I don’t know, I wouldn’t bet republican. I’d bet Libertarian, but that particular kind of Californian libertarian where they’re basically right in line with all the usual hard republican positions on everything except drugs and explicitly supporting the Republican party, rather than the more midwest style libertarian…
Other than keep countless people out of the hospital / 6 feet under the ground.
I miss having a country that built things and used tax money to do it. We are watching our country sink into ruins and keep waving the flag.
Oh, we do have the bridges inspected. They’re usually flagged as dangerous and then just nothing happens.
The current Challenger/Charger. A 20+ year old Mercedes chassis cosplaying as a retro muscle car. It doesn’t advance the species like the Camaro/Mustang (hey, we can take corners now too!), it’s just pure nostalgia for those who don’t want the inconvenience of owning an original era muscle car. [Dons flame suit.]
As someone from Pittsburg I agree. Columbus is a flat midwest wasteland. At least build somewhere like Youngstown where jobs are really needed. Pittsburgh is okay but there are plenty of towns within 20 miles that could use a boost, too.
Intel’s plant in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho helps prop up the local economy, so there’s precedent for them not being totally awful when it comes to jobs and hiring practices. Though I agree that it’s good to be skeptical about whether or not Columbus will be all that is planned right now.
Yes, but did he pronounce Willamette correctly?
There really is a Ph.D. in wine - it’s called Enology or Viticulture. UC Davis has one of the larger programs in the US, but there are plenty elsewhere:
They’re too busy putting people in jail for going over the speed limit.
Every other top level comment:
NFTs: a certificate of authenticity authenticating that the certificate is authentic. Actual value to human civilization: less than zero
NFT’s are the creation of capitalist trying to generate scarcity where none exist. It’s complete bullshit. We each have the same pepe image on our hard drives, but yours is worth money because the blockchain says you do? It’s all horseshit.
Blockchain? Bwhahahahaahahahahah. Oh fuck no.
NFTs, the biggest scam ever.
Cool so where’s that “killer dApp” we’re supposed to have by now?
