All meaningful sales growth is still in trucks and SUVs. The design is nice, but designing a sedan is the wrong direction to take if you want to move units.

I don’t think this will ring true in the market. The sedan is a dead end with a ton of wasted space. A cushy, quiet luxo crossover that isn’t all cut angles and Lexus grilles? Driving is fun, but the introduction of automated cars should eventually usher in an era filled with people for whom manual driving is anachronistic or solely for sport. Manual driving a car will probably end up like riding a horse now and certainly not something you’d do very often on populated public roads.
