As a mobile game developer, I’ve heard it’s not uncommon for a multiplayer game to switch to bots when a connection is shit, connection going shit is pretty likely and real-time twitch multiplayer is especially... Some games are less sensitive to connection hiccups.

One would assume that one would work out a license deal when something like that happens... Though, the probability isthat a license could cost $1,000,000 to have no royalties.

No, it’ll still be shitty... but most people don’t have a PC or a console in China, but they do have a smartphone. Not to mention... like 49% of Epic is owned by Tencent, a Chinese Company where the mobile market is a big part of things... uh... one of the biggest things in China, WeChat.

Their whole success basically hinged on “The Walking Dead” after the awful Jurassic Park game if The Walking Dead hadn’t succeed like it did, they would have been in some trouble. This will be MASSIVE in the China market. Everyone has a phone in China and the mobile connection is pretty insane... I saw people playing a mobile MOBA game on the subway in Beijing back in January when I visited for 3 weeks on business.
