I hope I don't become a statistic... though... I may need to hang out at home for a little while... if the current lead works out and I have to get a new work visa for Canada, cuz my old one was tied to my old job.

But, due to procession the signs are actually off by a bit.
He calls it a "fan art" on his facebook post, that's linked. It wouldn't be fanart is he got paid to do it, but it doesn't seem that he was paid for doing it.
You could call this beautiful image of Ellie "fan art", but that would be a weird definition, since the artist actually worked on The Last Of Us.
Yeah, Activision has Blizzard, basically a money machine.
You know, what I've heard about new IPs is that they typically don't make a profit on them, breaking even is usually about as good as you can hope for on the first title, and establishing a franchise. Sequels are where the profit comes from, typically.
It took him 6 months using Maya, Z-brush and Photoshop, capturing the results in UE4:
You could get Unreal Engine 4 on the Wii U too... heck, you can get Unreal Engine 4 on an iPhone. If you optimize things right... Unreal Engine 4 can even output a 2D Flappy Bird clone that a single artist made in a day using blueprints.
I see what they did there. It's amazing what some post-processing can do. Tone-mapping for increased contrast and a little chromatic aberration fringe. I know this, I recently tweaked the post processing on a piece I previously did... it looked at least 20% better than the raw original.
I can push out 6K screenshots... on my PC... I haven't attempted to push out a 4x resolution shot... last time I did I crashed Unreal Engine 4.
I'm sure the Guillemot family would love another steady stream of money.
Old men who always have everything recorded always seem to bring about their own demise, indirectly of course, ie. Nixon.
I'm not sure if it's "worth it" now, but, I only got the 6300 because I was on a fairly tight budget when I was doing my upgrade, in which I had to get a new Motherboard and RAM in addition. Because I had maxed the potential of my last Motherboard.
I should get a better GPU but I also do production.
Uh... No. It means Drug Enforcement Administration.
I have, well, an FX6300
ATI Radeon HD 6850 I think I can fudge that one... I've only got a 6790 or something... Something in the 6700 series... I can run Unreal Engine 4 Just fine.
Yeah, the bay area is a great place... if only the rent was so high...
My wife is from the Bay Area, California. We moved across the continent to Montreal... she actually doesn't really want to move back even though ccircumstances look like they will force us to. To be able to maintain... nah... possibly have to move into a smaller apartment than we currently have (a 2 bedroom, only $800…
Yes, I do. I spent nearly 18 months on the production of a game that that ran longer than hq wanted and went over budget. I also know that UE4 has been in development for much longer than it has been released as a full version build and that the beta version of UE4 was available to some select groups of developers for…
