I'm not burnt out seeing as I've been only very lightly playing it because I got the same feeling so I don't want to ruin it. But hey, the new game modes and everything outside of the maps will be free so maybe that'll help.

I'm kinda burnt out on Titanfall. I really, really like it, but I don't want to spend $10 on a map pack that doesn't add new gamemodes, weapons, or anything else. The game that I bought just feels unfinished, and I know that while they're going to update it, it still lacks enough content to justify what I paid.
Yep, you hit the nail on the head. It's definitely not that people enjoy variety or anything, no, it's that everyone is whiny and schizophrenic.
Slow down right there, just because one commenter says something like this, it doesn't mean that every gamer thinks it.
I find it humorous that people used to hate on the brown dreary shooters of the last generation. Then Titanfall came out and added a bit more brightness and color than a lot of people have become accustomed to. Now they are looking forward to darker drearier maps again because Titanfall's were too bright.
That's how I understood their response as well. Also they acknowledged the problem, made it known that the feedback was taken into consideration, and now we'll see what happens in the future. Sounds pretty legit to me.
First of all, thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed response!
Well, you're easily baited, it seems. :p
Do I? Let's see: I have a pretty good job (I'm a game programmer and also I'm a part time professor at a university, which I do pretty much for fun since I love teaching). I'm in a long term relationship with a beautiful girl who I think I'll marry soon, I'm in shape (I go to the Gym and I practice Kendo) and I'm also…
Of course, denying gay people the right to get married in a game about relationships and marriage is itself "social commentary."
Exactly. The thought probably didn't even cross their minds. While I did make a comment saying that gamers should "pick their battles" and I stand by that, the silver lining is that hopefully this issue will cross the minds at Nintendo in the future. Representation of homosexuals should be common place.
*THIS*
The way I see it, social commentary aims to make a point about something. And you can't make points unintentionally. Otherwise you could accuse anyone of making social commentary for the most benign random things. "Oh you reached for the white chocolate. Interesting..." (etc). At that point it just becomes a bit…
I don't think its a terrible response. A bit disappointing yes, but what they are ultimately getting at is that development on the game has stopped and the developers are likely already working on another project. It's really not easy to go back to a game that's already a year old (the game released April, 2013 in…

Well, you really can't live in the world, cause still a majority of the planet really doesn't like homosexuals. But you'd never know that from the media, apparently USA is number 1 hater of blacks, gays, and women. I shake my head sometimes, I really do.
I understand where they're coming from. They didn't think to put same sex marriage in the game because it's just supposed to be playful, and gay marriage is apparently anything but (?) - the problem for me though, is that they didn't originally plan to have it in the game. That's my issue. Call me crazy, but I'd…
Here's my ranked list of which characters spend the most screen time crying, whining, blubbering, screaming in fear, hand-wringing or shaking in abject / silent terror:
Usually, the worst you can expect a Call of Duty opponent to do is to be a little salty after losing a match—maybe they'll curse a little, maybe they'll rate you badly on Xbox Live or something. But calling a SWAT team on you? Dang, bro.
Did he also call the WAAmbulance?
