You’d think a “defense writer” would know that those 2 bombs were not hydrogen bombs.
Facts kind of don’t matter when a defense blog is simply a vessel for political hackery.
the clerks at car parts store can provide great firsthand advice
I wanted to vote NP, but for all the reasons above, CP. Now if we get down to the $5k territory...
Yeah, riding the depreciation curve takes a huge bite out of your earnings. I agree that they should find something used, clean, and reliable. Leasing new to drive for hire is a sucker’s bet.
Sure, to the extent that Brickhead Major City Denizen thought it would be a good idea to try to live off of it instead of finding a more lucrative job at a more reputable company.
It is a ride sharing service in the sense that Uber did not wish to follow regulations and decided to create a gypsy cab service. Regulations are super easy to deal with when you just ignore them outright.
I agree. It was never intended to be a full time job nor does it need to be. If someone wants to scrap by on uber alone that’s their choice but don’t expect me to feel bad.
I’m not informed enough, but was Uber ever going to be a steady job for this 53 year old looking for a career move? It sounded like he made a rash decision to lease a car from said employer at an extortionate rate without thinking of the long term. I always assumed it was for college kids looking to make some spending…
Isn’t this more an issue of housing prices in major cities? I mean, you could write the same story about house cleaners.
I guess this guy needs to get another job.
I have a feeling that NASCAR will lose even more fans if they follow through with this.
No, they were clearly pointing out the fact that English is the most spoken second language. That tells you that a large number of people outside English speaking countries speak English as a second language, making it a good candidate to be the world standard (which it essentially already is).
It’s the most spoken language, yes. And the vast majority of them are in China, which is really the only place you’ll learn it as your first language. There are 190m people who speak mandarin as a second language. 600m people speak english as a second language. There are only 150m fewer people that speak english total…
Not even close. What English has going for it is spread. Chinese langauages are essentially only spoken in China, while English is the default second language in most of the world. Anywhere you go you can find things like menus with an English translation, and most services will have someone who at least speaks a…
While chinese languages are the most spoken by population (by about 150m) they are centralized in a single area. English benefits from being a bit more widespread thanks to British colonialism. With all the land in the world now claimed, I can’t see how the chinese language can spread without a war causing chinese…
I’m Dutch but I actually kind of agree with the OP. English is pretty much already the default language for business and many other things. Might as well make it official.
By your “lazy” logic there is no need then for a translated WH site. Problem solved!
