Same here. I’m guessing he was already asleep in the car and they just got lucky. After all, who gets remotely locked into a car and says to themselves “nah, I’m sure it’s just a weird glitch, I’ll just take a nap”?

I am really happy for him. He did what he wanted to do, at the very top level, he has a young family and now he is going to be able to focus there. I imagine we will see him in a car again, on his own terms, and I would bet Mercedes will take good care of him.

I am not sure there are enough trucks in the world to transport the bolivars needed to pay for that seat.

Yeah, can’t blame him for it. It is a bit surprising though. But when you think about it, he’s 31 years old, and has been racing for probably at least 25 of those years. Maybe he’s just tired of it.

That is an incredibly rude, disrespectful and plain untrue thing to say. He made poor decisions because he’s a highly skilled technician? Come down off your high horse, I think the air is thin up there.

Better yet, instead of just using it occasionally, having one of these would give you carte blanche to park like an asshole 100% of the time.
