It looks nice and all, but that’s more than a NEW CB500F that will be a better bike in every single way. The CB300F is stil probably a faster bike than this one and you could use the extra few thousand to change the headlight and all to be more retro.

$70k?! Man that's tough.

The take rate will be about 4. In that about 4 people will order the manuals. Everyone else will buy the automatic the dealers order. So sad.

I wish it was a bit lighter, but those hips are so much wider than my E92 that I'm quite jealous.

If you try hard enough, BMW makes all the pieces, but you’ll have to reassemble the drivetrain from a sedan into the Sportwagen.

Well, that would be “tuners”. You should be more specific. Or watch more BBC F1 coverage

Couldn’t you just put “Entire Porsche 911” to save time.

They’re probably really mad that they spent so much time trying to figure out how VW met emissions while the copy didn’t work right.

Wives and girlfriends.

You could really hurt someone with this thing.

I’m guessing it probably a common problem with WAGs. My wife was only barely on board with a WRX and I wanted a plain one without wings or bright colors. She was thoroughly unimpressed with the ST and Mustangs with their ostentatious styling. Oh and our other car is a regular Focus.

Tooners you say?

She’s right. Unless you know and understand what a ST is you’ll look like you’re trying to be in the next Fast and the Furious movie, and even then it’s a little brash. I can definitely see that a Hot hatch is inappropriate for someone over the age of 25 who wants to be taken seriously as an adult and not a frat boy.

LPT for auto makers: lock the charging cord with the car doors like BMW does on the i3.

Very true, but looking for fastest, not nicest or prettiest or car anyone actually wants to be seen driving.

I'm pretty certain they modeled that puppet after Queen Margaery.

Am I mistaken or is 46 mpg still higher than the EPA rating of 41 mpg highway for the 2011?

My car’s mileage “plummets” 13% (5mpg) when my wife drives. 4 mpg is not ridiculous. Yes significant from a marketing standpoint, but not much especially when the EPA rating for an ‘11 Sportwagen TDi was 42

Sales too low to fund development. Hence selling the same model for nearly 10 years.

1600 units should hold them over for a few years.
