I thought it was California but I guess that didn't go through. Still, since its emissions you won't pass your inspection without getting this fixed.

Oh they’ll make you do it. I thought California had already pushed through making it required but nonetheless since this is an emissions issue it already is because there’s no way they’ll pass a TDI car anymore without actually testing the emissions.
They lied more to the government than to the consumer. The car preformed as advertised by our metric, unless you bought it primarily on Eco-friendliness. This isn't too different than people who reflash their ecu or remove the catalytic converter
True but more states are requiring recalls be completed before registering and what not. Maybe you could just give the guy $20 to “preform” the recall faster so the car is recorded as being fixed.
Except a Corvette is more effiencent and more fun.
True, but he did ask for cars
Depends on if you’re saying “fun per Efficiency” or total fun. FiST might be most fun, but i3 is probably nearly as fun and considerable more efficient.
I noticed this when a buddy got a MS3 and parked next to my 924S which had a much smoother reflection. Now I hate new cars except heavy metallics because of the ripple.
So if one could get $50,000, could own buy one? Also does Pirelli offer an off-road tyre?
I still prefer the 412 and its proper V-12 and Accord styling.
Not to be a wet blanket, but prices will rebound...something something compression.
I do know a guy whose Trans Am ate rear ends, trannys, and even a couple bell housings left and right, all without being touched. He had trouble with warranty issues until they verified the engine had never been touched.
I took a survey for Acura the other day about my car buying plans; half the questions had an option about the ILX being an expensive Civix. I’m surprised they’re still trying to sell cars by advertising like this. I’m also surprised they haven’t figure out after twenty years why we put Lexus up with M-B and BMW yet…
Have you never seen Goldeneye?
Engine covers reduce valve noise and aren't that hard to remove. If you have trouble removing them, you shouldn't be under there.
I'm impressed they managed to make the diesel the cheap option. If I were the kind of person who wanted an SUV, I'd definitely check this out against an X3. But no, I'll stick to sedans and coupés.
I would do that just to skirt the stupid window sticker. Hell, I’d even pay the Use Tax if I lived in Texas and had to stare at that ugly sticker.
I’ve only driven last years 250 and it wasn’t slow, not fast either but still decent. It was just so much nicer to be in than a “normal” car. It was also about 35°F so the back would slide like crazy on the summer tyres. I bet if you put less sticky all-seasons on one it would be more engaging.
My In-laws’ Cavalier has hundreds of thousands of miles. It’s a piece of shit. It was a piece of shit 13 years ago, too. Just because it is super cheap to maintain doesn’t make up for that. The ‘85 E24 was light years ahead of economy cars for over twenty years. What’s the point of driving a terrible car that you hate…
