I had a similar thing happen to me at a coffee shop I worked in for two years. Our tip jar read "College Funds" and some lady looked at me scoffed and announced to everybody that the tip jar was funny because "it wasn't likely I was going to college" I was pretty livid

Growing up, my dad owned a grocery, and he often bagged and carried them out for customers. All I can say is: #word

My junior year of college, I got a job waiting tables in a snooty suburb (most of the residents were well-off from a few big tech companies). The customers were way more demanding and condescending versus the clientele at my last job, which was closer to the university.

That's my favorite. I was a philosophy major, which I loved every minute of and have no regrets about, and if I had $1 for every time someone asked me: (at best) "Oh...What are you planning on doing with that?" or (at worst) "How's unemployment treating you?"

I worked the front store portion of a pharmacy during high school and still got this.

Some girls that looked to be my age wanted to buy cigarettes, and I had to check their IDs. They responded with, "We're in college. So we don't have to work here. What are you even doing with your life?"

Been there. After I got my illustrious degree and found that the entire country was short on jobs, I was a manager at a well known shoe store. When talking to a woman who hated me from the word go and I have no idea why. I wasn't rude or mean in any way. She was buying shoes for her son, she looked at me and said,…

You've never done something just to amuse someone in the moment and then decided later it was hilarious enough to share? What you do with an end result isn't always indicative of the original motivation.

She looks dumb doing what at her age? Amusing her daughter? It's not like she's going grocery shopping in that outfit. She dressed up as a goof and posted the photo to Instagram. There's no age limit for goofiness and if Betty White had done it we'd all find it hilarious and adorable.
