Watermelon is wonderful for rehydrating. Also, as long it is not contraindicated, an anti-emetic such as Promethazine (OTC in most countries but by prescription in the U.S.) can be a lifesaver for persisting nausea after vomiting, or for preventing vomiting altogether.
