Except one of the people in the hospital right now is the school’s resource officer...he was shot. You know who wasn’t shot? The shooter.
This is America.
You can tell what he wanted to say, but it’s like he knew that with his team’s fanbase (and I say this as a Texan and an Astros fan) that he couldn’t go too far.
Guns. Too many of them. Too easy access to them. Too many people keeping that access open.
They should only have one entrance/exit, and it should be controlled by armed guards to prevent anyone from entering or leaving without authorization. They should also eliminate windows, since those could be used as an access point. And perhaps the students should be able to earn “credits” at some kind of “commissary”…
Russian trolls. They got to work real quickly after this one. They’re getting faster. Lots of practice, I guess.

Sadly, he will probably end up the target of death threats because of these remarks. Because he’s right, and for a huge swath of our population, that is an existential threat. Which means that this is America’s normal now, and for the foreseeable future.
And that’s why you always read the comments.
I am more than a decade in (on my third account) and I think I have seen the 1000 mark broken like twice. There needs to be a hall of fame for this shit.

Nah, it actually wasn’t. Cleveland losses are hapless endeavors that grab defeat from the jaws of victory (see: the Browns). The Indians were dogged tonight. They fought hard.
As an Indians fan, I’m crushed. As a baseball fan...damn that was a game.
Some perspective on how historic this is:
I've read Deadspin for years, and this is the first time I've laughed so hard I had to sign up and comment. Well played. I'm a wife who has a wife and we both laughed our asses off.
You magnificent bastard...that's just great work. +1
I just howled with laughter for a straight minute. And I'm a wife. +1
