A bunch of these have popped up here in SoCal from time to time, with km/hr speedos and all. They seem to be on the conforming list, so they let them through.

Also if tips don’t meet the additional $5.13 an hour, then, the employer is required to do so. If they don’t, they are in violation of federal labor laws.
Literally anyone who wants something nice on the inside but isn’t a land barge.
I’m a Canadian and my GF bought an EP3 back in 02. We kept it for 3 years, lost about 1.5K (cheapest car ever) on it over that period.
I had a 1998 EL. I can add a few things here.
Yeah, “certificate of authenticity?” Are people out there buying replica badges and trying to fob off mere Touaregs as Cayennes? Is it a coachwork body on a Ferrari? Did Carroll Shelby own it? Inquiring minds want to know.
All that sounds great then I see a 5 year old SUV for $43k with a Porsche badge with the repair bills of a Porsche and the reliability of a Volkswagen. I don’t want that kind of pain in my life.
Saying a Touareg is more reliable than a Cayenne, because it has less parts, is like saying a cruiser is less complex than a battleship.
That’s ridiculous.
Have you driven Cayennes before? This is the ONLY engine to get in a Cayenne due to its low end torque which makes this dinosaur somewhat OK to drive in town. Plus, it gets 35-37 mpgs which equals about 700 miles+ between fill ups.
Seriously, I don’t care how much this thing cost new, depreciation has nosedived at least another ten or fifteen grand more than this. Aren’t the rich moms who buy these things moving over to Tesla Model X’s now? There should be a glut of these things on the market.
Not this oil burner. If I ever considered a Cayenne, it wouldn’t be a diesel. Who buys a Porsche and is concerned about the price of fuel? There’s a reason this thing is co cheap. “What has Brown done for you lately?” Nothing in this case. CP.
Exactly! And as the boomer generation gets too old to drive cars like this, I don’t think GenX’ers like me are going to value the name as much. Sure, he was a very prominent figure in racing and performance cars, but he cashed in on his name way too much towards the end for it to have a lasting provenance worthy of…
Yep, who cares if Shelby owned it, he did nothing to it. Had he modified the bejesus out of it, then maybe there’d be something here at that price (yes, yes, it’s someone else’s project, but it would be Shelby’s project).
What the ad doesn’t say is that this Caroll Shelby is a 67 year old woman who lives in Van Nuys. CP
Anyone NP’ing this one should contact me immediately. I have recently acquired John Voight’s Chrysler LeBaron and am now prepared to part with it for the low low price of $99,999.
If he’d done something special to it, or if it was a car he had a hand in designing maybe (One of his Cobras or Daytonas for example), maybe.
Given the condition, low miles, and prior ownership provenance, it’s worth considerably more than your run-of-the-mill Pantera.
As much as I like the Pantera, you can get a non-Shelby-owned version in great shape for $84 Large. If this was Shelby’s supercharged 427 Cobra, then I could see a huge price. But remember, these things were sold by MERCURY DEALERS and there is really nothing special about the vehicle itself. CP because of the…
