Nooo.We dont need to know what they’re making.Only they need to know that.

It sounds a lot like a mlm starting up. “We are going to do this, we will do that, we are working on it, we know it’s not ready yet but here’s a beta”, and so on. I'm pretty sceptical about this company so far.

Nobody knows what they’re building, nobody knows where their money comes from, nobody knows very much of anything about this company. Seriously, why is anyone taking them seriously? Or at least, why isn’t anyone trying to get serious answers out of them.

Assuming that the building actually gets built. Lots of ambitious projects have broken ground only to fizzle out shortly after. Considering that FF really seems shady as fuck, I am inclined to believe that nothing of substance is going to come out of this.

That is the nature of the beast with turbocharged engines. Cruising nice and easy? Great mileage. Pushing hard? Bad mileage. The same engine should do better in a car application than a truck application (less weight/towing).

Not that I own many (read zero) multi billion dollar companies, but this seems like the most ass backwards way of building one.

Then a luxury resort can pick up a purpose built building on the cheap.

Buddy of mine had one and couldn't get rid of it quick enough. Jumped into a F250 that gets better gas millage.

I love my M235i but agree with you. It's a sports car — not a luxury car. This Lincoln should have a 5.0 V8.

Problem with grilles/radiators/engine compartments is that they slow the air down, throw out the dynamic pressure, and then spit it out in bad places. It’s not like they’re a tube through the car.

Making the front of the car blunter increases the static pressure on that surface. It’s not the biggest contributor, but it does contribute.

Drag has two major contributors. Drag from shear which is highest where flow speed is highest (the sides/top/bottom) and is generally neglected at speeds less than a couple hundred miles an hour. Either way, the nose is normal to the flow so any shear would be acting side-to-side and wouldn’t contribute to drag.

Completely underwhelmed.

This is on par with Toyota’s “refresh” of the Camry in 2000 - which they labeled as “the all-new Camry”, despite changes so microscopic the vast majority of the public didn’t recognize anything had happened.

Wonder if Tesla will try to claim this as all new, too...

As a recipient, nope. More available means less people die.

Used to dislike it as well. Didn’t become a convert, but I do like how I can get their excellent design in different sizes, depending on what I would need.

I think you can manage

i asked my wife over the weekend if we could have another kid so we could sell it and i could buy an RS and that Calloway C7 Vette shooting brake. I figure one baby in mint condition should be worth low/mid six figures.

also throw in a couple liters of blood to make sure

What’s current market rate for a kidney???

I think it would be morally wrong to sell someone else’s kidney for one of these. Not your own, though.
