Well, I mean.. I used to be an engineer for Chrysler. But, when people say “built on the [insert car] chassis” its pretty misleading. They’re usually based off something or share some design concepts/common parts but the geometry and rates are manipulated to match the car. Still, I’m pretty sure it would have been

Not even components, just design/geometry. E-class components wouldn’t bolt up to it, they would just look similar.

Rarely. We car enthusiasts live in a different world than 90% of the population but let’s be clear. The 90% strictly buy on price. They don’t care about quality. Why would they? Half of them are leasing and another large chunk is buying with the intent to trade after 2-4 years.

I’m about to be in the market for a new vehicle and I’m seriously considering going for an AWD 200 if it can be obtained cheaply (which.. it should). It and the new Malibu are the only ones that do anything for me right now.

Chrysler’s problem isn’t that the 200 is a bad car - because it isn’t - it’s because they gave it no support or improvements. The mid-size sedan segment is ahighly, highly competitive market. You can’t jump from last in the market to first in one generation, and that’s what FCA seemed to expect this generation to do.

Seems to correspond exactly with Sergio’s comments about it being a failure and letting it die. I’ve also heard they stopped all incentives on it, so that may be a cause also.

Presumably the Accord has been a Car and Driver 10 Best for many years for a reason. It balances reliability with a fun to drive character. I’ve always been okay with the Accord.

I low-key tear up when I see the sad state Chrysler-Dodge is in these days, The 300 has so much potential to become an entire family of vehicles.

I’m sure the fleet duty has hurt sales, as I can’t imagine anyone who was assigned one as their midsize rental is rushing out to buy or lease a 200.

Yeah and it almost makes me cry the international offers, In Japan, Australia and New Zeland only the 300 is offered, and in Russia only the Town & Country.

In all honestly, the R-Design is a better compromise for most budgets.

I’d give it a drive before eliminating it. It’s far more luxurious then it’s competitors and even better than more upscale offerings from GM (Buick and entry Cadillacs). I think the issue is it’s filling that luxury void abandoned by every other auto maker in the name of Nurernburgring times and the aire of

I’d guess the fleet sales are a symptom rather than a cause, but it does tell you something about the car.

It’s not racist when you’re making fun of white people, remember?

Check cars.com or any site. Plenty (relatively speaking given the allocation) 2016s in all colors available around the country at or under MSRP. In fact, none listed above MSRP. The limitation would have you believe they are in demand, sadly, they are not. I love them, too small inside for me. Well, I fit even though

Because dumb white guys will always pay more for something they think is “cool.”

Grabber Blue, objectively the best Ford Mustang color, is coming to the Shelby GT350 for the 2017 model year. See the details over at Mustang6G!

I like pretty much everything about these, except the price tag. In about three years, the financial stars should align for me to be able to afford something in this range, and while I really like this as a package, an ATS-V sedan, with an extra ~100 hp, manual, fantastic chassis, and minuscule back seat would be

ATS-V.

how on earth is delta so high? THEY SUCK!
