It has stopped buying though. Like I said to someone else, the smart dealers adapted. Shifted to online everything. E signing, contactless delivery etc. Everything thats happening has just highlighted how time consuming and useless the dealership model was. And its making dealers do things to survive that they should

In YOUR state. Like someone else said, it differs state by state. Like I said to someone else, dealers here are still open and I know a few people in the business that have been selling. Dealers, from the emails I have gotten from the ones locally, have adapted. And I’m pretty sure it was reluctantly. Dealers have

True. Im sure there is some Starbucks barista or retail worker getting 20 hours a week out there driving around in a Kia Forte they got financed for 96 months on. With 6 months given to give a down payment!

Friends in the business/observations. Dealers that were smart just adapted. Reassured people that they didn’t have to actually come in for anything other than getting the keys. A friend of mine that works at a local Toyota has had a sale damn near every day this month. Granted that’s not to say that that’s

This. Its why we are ok paying hundreds or a couple grand for shoes made for a few dollars overseas. But yes we are enablers. I try as much as I can to afford buying things off Amazon though.

I think its going to be bad but not as bad as we think it would be. Everyone's is just in a doom mode right now and is expecting bad news. Foot traffic has decreased in dealers for obvious reasons, but that hasnt stopped car buying. The industries affected by the pandemic (mainly service industries) couldn’t afford to

Right and that’s the ugly side of capitalism. We enable and make richer the very uber rich people we hate because the services they provide have become ingrained or necessary in our lives.

Amazon has and continues to make it clear that their first priority is profits and getting people their stupid ass items before ANYTHING. This is just another example of that. Bezos is a greedy billionaire that shouldn’t exist and any of his management team, from executives on the board on down to the supervisors that

The car will go on sale in April in the United States with an MSRP of $38,400.

This is one of the most stupidest things I’ve seen today. Its like irkingly stupid.

Its a good move. Force people out of stupidity (especially those that thing this whole stay inside thing is some kind of move on their constitutional rights). But it is a murky area though for business owners. They are asking questions like who gets to decide who and what is non essential, especially given that

“Some analysts think the sales issue comes down to marketing and advertising, and competition from the new X7 three-row crossover that BMW was obviously more interested in pushing to customers”

Thanks for this article. It sucks because I have been grappling with my anxiety, which has gotten worse since this lockdown began. Im constantly on the edge of a panic attack. But I try and calm myself by playing with my son, playing xbox or listening to music. It helps some. But its bothersome and has me on edge

This is what I’ve seen. Unless you’re not practicing social distancing or intentionally going out because you think it’s all a hoax. Most of the reporting gong on right now is alarmist. There is cause for concern, espy due to how fast this spreads. But other than that the death rate is still low.

True. But we have no way of knowing if China lied just by nature of them being China. We also can’t assume they lied because of that same reason. I think it’s good enough to say that we will never know.

It’s scary how fast this thing spreads. With that being said though, some of these measures we are taking are as if 10,15,20 thousand people a day are dying. I mean refrigerated trucks for the dead? If that’s the case when are we gonna start digging mass graves? I mean I get wanting to be prepared but still.

I’m hoping this all upends the system when everything gets back to normal. This whole thing has blindsided dealers and shown how vulnerable and unnecessary they are all. They are bothersome snake middlemen. And what’s happening is a brutal reminder that they aren’t needed. And I’m here for it.

So pretty much for those of us that can buy right now, it’s a good time for a deal since dealers are desperate?

Why are we even entertaining this man? He’s talking out of his ass. Whatever it is we think he means he doesn’t mean.

I dont like SUV’s/crossovers. But this? I might have to check out. I’m just not ready for another round of dealer price gouging, which is going to turn off a bunch of potential buyers but keep it enabled because of all the ones that are willing to pay $30k over sticker.
