I’ve never been to Urban Outfitters or Anthropologie, but goddamn their Free People clothes are the shit. If they really want to get Portland traction though, they should tote sustainability more than “Look at this mod boho shit”. Did they ditch their conservative Santorum-loving CEO yet?

You’re amazing. <3 Thank you for doing what you do.

Fellow parent, I agree. Fun story - My husband used to do radio promotions, and they’d give away tickets to movies all the time. I would sometimes find a sitter and be able to go to them with him, and there was always, ALWAYS this one mom who brought her 3 kids, ALL of which were under the age of 7. I sat behind her

My husband and I talked about this last night. Some young men get angry when women achieve success through means which they cannot. They look at it as an unfair advantage, so they do everything they can to drag those women down. “THEY don’t deserve all that attention! I do because I feel as if I am owed that much in

I went to some Facebook comments on one of the links for this story and it was a goddamn nightmarish hellscape of early-20s neckbeards shaming her for being “such a slut” and saying she has nothing else to offer. I don’t know why I read through comments on FB stories... It’s a little masochistic.

“Take away the unmappable comb-over and the unstoppable mouth and the Freudian-rich debates about genitalia, and there is no Trump campaign. Donald Trump’s few forays into actual issues suggest he is startlingly unaware of how the presidency or even ordinary governance works.”
THIS. I still can’t understand how people

They’re already trying. There was a woman in Tennessee who, after weeks of trying to find an affordable abortion clinic, chose to self-abort and is now being prosecuted for it. Jezebel had a few stories about it. And they managed to keep the baby alive, who is now going to have a short, painful lifetime of health

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- access to safe, legal abortions make for better mothers.

What makes me sick is the thought that those forced-birthers don’t give a shit if self-aborting women suffer great pain and infections or die, because they’d view it as some sort of “punishment” for trying to terminate their pregnany in the first place. You know that’s how it is to them.

Yeah somehow the women who would’ve gotten legal, safe abortions don’t just magically transform into healthy, financially-stable maternal baby conveyor belts whose babies are born pinky white, holding tiny American flags and crosses. Ends up they know damn well what their choice is, and many will do whatever it takes

OT, but moments into the breakfast scene with Mr. Kardashian and his spawnlings, my husband said, “Ugh god, is he going to give them some heartfelt speech about how fame isn’t as important as family or some shoe-horned bullshit?” And lo, a minute later...

All Ryan Murphy shows do the same thing- they’re HORRIBLY written, but the actors do so much to sell it, it’s like you have to watch it. The Shapiro and Kardashian looks are so goddamn outrageous, you can’t not look at it.

I seriously do not understand how the police sided with the Trump campaign here. They weren’t creating a disruption, they weren’t being disrespectful, they were just standing there, BEING BLACK. How can they justify forcing them to leave the campus that they paid to attend? It is infuriating. I don’t understand why

Very true. I think these are for tricking people into not feeling guilty. Because yogurt and raisins!

I was seriously just thinking yesterday about how frustrating it is that the calendar app that comes on the iphone doesn’t just come with an option to track periods. The other apps I had before weren’t great, but I might give this one a try.

“For those of you who hate the joy of eating a cookie.” (I actually sort of like these ones with a cup of tea...)

I basically made the same comment, lol. A lot of people will donate money in addition to/in lieu of buying cookies.

Buy in bulk, put them in the freezer. <3

They could have also gotten a lot in donations. My kid and I went around yesterday selling cookies for her troop and something like every 3rd or 4th person just donated an extra couple bucks toward her troop funds.

    God bless DListed.
