I always assume it’s as apparent to everyone as it is to me how tacky and cheap this clan is. Nothing about them says style, class or taste. Clearly however a large swathe of the country believes screaming how rich you are and pouring shiny yellow gold over everything is the height of haute couture.

Jessica Simpson’s shit is surprisingly good. The shoes, in particular. I get them second hand a lot because they’re one of the few brands that holds up well enough for a second go.

My coworker, who is constantly “trying to demonstrate her value,” will never say no to anyone. Even outside our office! She also has a compulsion to work every night and all weekend. She doesn’t know what else to do with herself.

Book two weeks off and then take it.

Don’t ever martyr yourself for your job. Don’t try to save them money if that’s not your job, take all of your allotted benefits.

here’s what i do: lots of long weekends in the summer. it really helps to look forward to a bunch of three-day or four-day weekends. and you’re not eating up a bunch of PTO nor do you feel guilty like you HAVE to go somewhere, as it’s only three days.

I feel like the bad cgi is on purpose.

I loved that movie, too! Also loved him in Scream, of course. And I about exploded with joy seeing him pop up on Twin Peaks last night! My husband couldn’t a) remember who he was, and b) understand why I’d be so happy as to yell “Oh my GOD! It’s Matt Fucking Lillard!”

I was at a watch party event, and afterwards, these two young women in their 20s said to me, “What the fuck was that? We have no idea what we just saw.” I said, “Well, did you watch the original series?” “No.” “Have you ever seen one of David Lynch’s films?” “No.” “Well, that would provide some context for you.”

My grandparents had their honeymoon trip in a national park in like 1953, and took a selfie. Complete with goofy smiles and “am I even aiming this right?” panic in their eyes. And it’s adorable! They also took photos of each other standing in and around some pretty glorious views. They’re beautiful photographs, all of

It probably is., but almost anywhere you go that has something worth taking a photo of, someone with a better camera than yours, with more skill, who was also there on a nicer day has already taken a photo of that thing or place. You can easily find that person’s better photo online and use it to remember the places

How will this affect people (like me) who prefer their feed sorted by recency, rather than what Facebook arbitrarily deems to be a “top story”?

How about not saying in the Fbook App that I have a “messenger” message waiting but when I log into the Fbook website, there’s no message. Clearly a ruse to get me to download messenger which I have no fucking desire to do.

Though I get what you’re saying, sometimes it’s nice to be in charge of the photo than letting a stranger take it and just doing an awful job. There’s been many a time when I’ve been traveling and asked a stranger for a photo and they cut out an arm or zoomed in way too close to actually hide what I was posing in

You should ALWAYS include yourself, or friends/family/acquaintances, in photos whenever possible. Otherwise you have a boring, meaningless, picture of the Eiffel Tower, a tree, a waterfall, etc. — that is undoubtedly sub-par to any number of photos you could simply Google of the same subject.

I’ve noticed that too. At this point I’m just flagging every single one of them as offensive.

If my friend is sharing photos of their trip to Paris I’d definitely rather see a picture of them in front of the Eiffel Tower than the Eiffel Tower by itself. I mean, I’ve seen it. A lot. And unless they’re a really amazing photographer I probably don’t need to see their unique take on it. It’s much more interesting

Are they going to stop spamming me for my phone number?

The person in the photo might be the only thing separating it from countless others. Take the Eiffel Tower image above ... if she’s out of the photo, it’s just ANOTHER picture of the Eiffel Tower. I guess the weather and maybe the angle are sort of unique ... ? Really, it’s the person in the photo that sets it apart.

1000x this.
