The latest rumor is that Navy Captain Cornwallis C. Crunch (Ret.) is currently being vetted for the position.

Imagine that you’re so afraid of blowback from the president, that you basically put out there that you’re bought and paid for. This guy was basically like “I can’t serve you, ‘cause I’m probably a crook.”

How very nice that he’s bothered about privacy. Sounds more like he doesn’t want anyone to know where his money comes from and goes.

I need Kristen D dress for everyday wear.

Am I insane or is the cut not super flattering either?

all the daves i know feel the same way.

The dress

Yeah, I’m kind of surprised by the response to this. We’ll have to wait and see how the movie plays out, but I doubt anyone’s going to walk away from it like, “oh facists aren’t so bad.” I mean, I didn’t walk away from seeing Swing Kids as a 13 year old (so, like, still not at the most intellectually discerning)

As the son of an officer, his membership in the Hitler Youth would have been mandatory. It does not make him a Nazi. Some Germans actively tried to fight what was going on in their country. A lot of them were executed. A lot of their families disappeared. Broad painting every German as a ruthless killer of Jewish

As a Jew I’m equally tired of the narrative that an entire country was “the bad guys”. All that does is make the Nazis seem like some cartoon villains who could never exist in real life.

That really doesn’t seem that odd to me? When the house is crooked, it’s usually easier to nudge new trim to match than to tackle fixing the walls and trim that are already there.

Another reminder that no one, ever, has actually cared about states’ rights as an end in itself.

The look on LVP’s face was fantastic. Sasoon is no fun at all. She was grossed out by the cheeseburger, she’s grossed out by her ex trying to quit smoking, she psychoanalyzes people she doesn’t know to their face and yet, she’s still boring.

Funny how those Conservatives are all about States Rights and local law sticking it to the big bad federal government....until it’s for an issue like this.

Lisa V’s mental gears scrambling to not react *too* much to Eden’s “logic” was just precious. Like, “Did I just hear that correctly? That couldn’t have been the whole thing... How do I inquire further without sounding judgey...?”

Not a mom either and also did not understand what the hell Eden was on about. It seems entirely normal that the birth of a grandchild would bring up the same kind of excitement and anxiety that the birth of a child brought. For her to act like this was abnormal or that Kim was on shaky ground was a bit too much. Also,

THERE. IN CHRISTMAS PAJAMAS. My life was complete.

You can’t legally destroy a fetus after a certain point unless the life of the mother is at stake. No one is arguing for an abortion at 8 months if there is no life threatening need.

We don’t actually. That’s what adoption is for.

Bodily autonomy is vastly different than the responsibility you take on when you make a decision to parent a child. A child who has been born is an independently living person with rights of their own, unlike a fetus. And even still, we don’t force women to parent, even if they’ve decided to give birth to a child.
