I’m guessing your friends who are about to move back in with their parents also make other questionable life choices, not just those related to reproduction.

Naw, friend. Boomers first screwed up Gen X, then moved onto the Millenials. Gen X has been sitting over in the small corner we were given, trying to figure out how to get someone’s attention.
Counterpoint: Hand the phone to the child and sit them on the couch, and they’re likely not going anywhere while that battery holds out.
My MIL (who had her children between 1970 and 1990,) could not fathom why none of her children utilized playpens. She said it saved her sanity. She was babysitting our daughter and pulled out the Pack ‘n Play, circa 1991, to stick our 22 month old daughter in. Our daughter managed to rip the mesh and get herself stuck…
Yeah, I’m pretty sure people are going to find whatever whipping boy they want to blame this on.
:( I’m sorry. Sometimes it’s easier for managers to ignore a situation than to handle it. Managers in a lot of industries aren’t given training and support to handle anything other than the routine day to days of the business needs, rather than the personnel issues. I hope your situation improves or changes soon.
More importantly, did your manager listen to the grievances and address them?
This goes for politicians too, not just celebrities. I’ve never been more disappointed in people who’s political intentions seemed so upright and righteous. I worked in politics right after college, and got my rose colored glasses stomped on pretty badly. Even worse, was the most gracious and friendly people were…
This is so disturbing, on many levels. No one in their right mind would do this. Targeting an innocent child for this level of violence is beyond comprehension. It really concerns me that there could be mental health issues at play here, which would be another way that our country fails society.
Unfortunately, I need stronger advice than this. My son self weaned at 4 months and I had to exclusively pump for 8 months, which was no picnic in itself. My 25 month old daughter, however, is happily nursing at bedtime and when she wakes up, despite my attempts to discourage it. Even when I tell her they hurt and…
Fun random fact: Eartha Kitt moved to Westport, CT later in her life, because her daughter moved here with her kids, and Eartha wanted to be near them. Westport is the hometown that Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward lived in together for over 40 years. Did they have any scandalous run ins? Who knows? Eartha Kitt…
This is a preferred method of dealing with unwanted employees, for the most part. It’s how my own organization used to handle situations, because they never wanted to fire anyone, because then it would give the impression that we made an error in the hiring process to begin with - embarrassing when you’re supposed to…
I work for an HR consulting company. What they’ll do is scan emails, transcripts, meeting logs, etc... to find something very quickly. Once a lawsuit is filed, you still have enough time before discovery, where you have to turn things over, and they use that to shore up the documentation that they pulled out earlier.
NJ lines must be a lot more expensive than the CT lines, because even now, the Metro North New Haven line only costs my husband $4200/year for his tickets. It’s remarkably on time and reliable too. Tragic. When in doubt, stick to the main line, going off the branches will only cause trouble.
My evil MD SIL makes common cause with her racist prison guard uncle in PA, because in her words “his vote might hurt him, but it certainly benefits me. They just hear the words, they don’t look at what he actually does.”
Or generally, if you use their gas app, they give you the credit price for the cash price. Win/win.
You should hit the Big E in Springfield, MA. It’s the New England Exposition, and has 5 “houses” that highlight the products of each state. I like to gorge compare and contrast the maple cotton candy from each state. Vermont wins every time.
How many generations back do you go? Not the requisite 6-7, I’m guessing. A real Vermonter would never complain about finishing the real ones. I could work through a 1 pound box of small maple leafs in about a day.
Nothing beats the flavor and consistency of real maple syrup and maple products. Otherwise, you’re just eating concentrated sugar syrup with caramel color and unnatural flavorings. Why bother, when you can have the good stuff?
Unless they’re the little turd versions, they’re not real Tootsie Rolls. They’re all gross, though.
