If you look under the front seats of many cars they have this air vent. The fact that it’s SO visible is either poor design or the front seat is really pushed forward. Meaning that in “normal” position there is very little rear seat leg room.

Totally agree with you, too. I think in the case of my home, my wife and daughter place cups, bowls, ramekins, etc. in a position that when the water hits them, they topple over on their sides. This is especially true of washable water bottles. I always end up checking it before I start it anyway.
