One note: Swaying vents would drive me bonkers. I don’t like the AC vents blowing on me in the first place and I don’t like oscillating fans. If I use the AC (and I often don’t) I want it to cool the space around me, not be a blower motor experience.

Used 2nd-gen Leafs (leaves?) do look like they’ll be a good deal in a few years. Nissan + electric = ridiculous depreciation. They aren’t super fast, FWD, and seem to be a sensible little hatchback.

By the time our guy is old enough to drive, it’ll surely be an electric car. And that might be the best choice right now too. First car, means something you keep for around town driving - running errands, going to school, maybe movies - whatever the youths are doing these days.  But not necessarily for long road…

How will it compare with the Ford Maverick? Overall the Mav looks like it will a little cheaper, but those two are the ones I’ll be cross-shopping in 18-24 months.
