I’m absolutely floored by this news. As tragic as it is to say, I’m almost hoping that it turns out accidental, because it’s hard to wrap my head around someone with such verve for life, purposely taking their own. Depression can be insidious and sometimes hidden. I’ve been there myself.

This is such distressing, awful news. My whole family loved Anthony Bourdain. He truly changed the way we thought about food. This is just terribly sad.

I was at the 2003 Rose Bowl between Washington State and Oklahoma, where Mr. Rogers had been one of the grand marshals for the parade and then flipped the coin at the start of the game.  I hoped he would come out and tell each set of captains that there was no reason to fight, and that they should just get along.  

Or how about we don’t attack anybody? For fuck’s sake, I hated the movie quite a lot, didn’t really like Rian Johnson’s attitude in some bits I’ve seen, but I don’t think we need to start stalking him online and yelling at him. He made a bad movie (in my opinion) and I dislike the direction a series I liked is moving…

I enjoyed his show, greatly respect Mr Rogers and think that the world would be a better place if more people followed his example and died in 2003.
