2 things...

“...only exciting to watch.”

So the one yesterday had limited range, the one today has lots of power but is unreliable. Who says cars and their owners aren’t alike?

I was curious / paranoid about this so thanks!

“Oh, sure, it’s fine when he’s Frank on social media.”

“That’s not so bad.”

It wasn’t supposed to be a documentary.

idiocracy

I feel like we’re living in an alternate universe where guys half a century ago built machines like this, and Apollo, but don’t/can’t now.

Hate to sound like Grampa McGitovmilayn here, but stuff like this really fucks over the rest of us who just want to play with our off-road toys in peace.

Terrorizing? More like Freedomizing those 4 tires of touching pavement by catching sick air bro. In bro we trust.

Best part is, you’re not at all wrong.

If these things are as bad as they’re made out to be, maybe we should let them go “overseas” (ie, to ISIS) sans armor, and with hidden GPS units, or take a few over there and let them “capture” them. That way we can track them and be ready to strike when they inevitably break down. Hell, we could plan the breakdowns.

Not for me, I want to feel nothing! My car rides on a suspension made of Valium and pudding.

Removable top/doors+smallish turbo diesel + 6MT =PROFIT

Actually, Diesel engines run much cooler than gas engines, as diesel is much more thermally efficient than gasoline, and thus releases less waste heat. The ruggedness of diesels doesn't come from needing it to sustain higher heats, but higher pressures.

well its not like pneumatics are new technology. its been used for controlling hvac and heating in buildings for about 100 years

On the diesel topic, I can see it. If they can adjust the timing curve on the fly, I could easily see diesel being ran. Retard the timing curve way back for standard Gasoline, and advance the curve more with diesel. While most diesel engines do not use a sparkplug to detonate the fuel, it still can be done. Its
