You can only be “on par” with someone when you both play the same game.
I’m a bit surprised that the Black Panther character isn’t considered racist, I mean a black guy from the jungle with panthers and everything, it’s all very colonial.
Yakuza 0 is in the top 10.... I’m moved to tears! It’s certainly one of the best in the series.
Although I finished Deus Ex on the PS4 I found it a lot more repetitive and even a bit too easy, compared to the PS3 game. It was less moody and mysterious, the story was less engrossing and immersive. The levels looked great but felt small and confined, although admittedly the PS3 version was even more confined...…
“Just wait until you get the jetpack.”
Well, since there exists no “cross-platform-games-console” that only plays cross-platform games, you’re still going to have to buy xbox, switch or ps4, or a pc. I personally don’t care at all about exclusives, I really hate it when a cool game comes out but not for the platform I bought and that seemed a good choice…
“The screenshot function on the Switch does not know how to handle this.”
You are correct, I would like the war to continue by itself, regardless of if I partake in it or not. Just like a real war. As it stands, it’s just way too obvious that it’s all just a backdrop waiting for me to do something, it breaks immersion. Even to the point where shooting enemies just feels obligatory. On to…
But...you just described Battlefield (and CoD)‘ single player campaigns. Did you think there were several outcomes?
What frustrates ME the most is that the dumbness of these decisions is left in intentionally. I can assure you that the writers KNOW they’re writing total nonsense. It’s not about what a real scientist would do, it’s about marketing to the largest possible audience.
“better than many people give it credit for.”
I guess Hearthstone follows the same path as Magic. They just keep adding skills and abilities until only those who played it from the beginning have any idea what’s going on. It’s still a great game but I can’t see myself learning everything all over again.
I’m afraid publishers aren’t really interested in new concepts or ideas. All these shooters just rehash the same old and tired gameplay and spend the entire budget on graphics and sound, hoping that nobody notices...
It’s a fine balance... I recently played Battlefield I (singleplayer) and this game doesn’t tell you anything. You’re just dumped in a murky brown brownness. Who are you? What are you fighting for? What are all the other guys doing? Who is on my team? Where am I going? No idea whatsoever. I gave up after 20 minutes of…
Splatoon is so great... I only tried the Nier demo but found it quite repetitive. Is the real game more varied?
I decided to try Fortnite Battle Royale. I like the fun visuals and smooth controls. Sadly I suck at multiplayer shooters so after spending 3-5 minutes preparing for a match I always get shot within 10 seconds.... and have to spend another 3-5 minutes in some matchmaking-lobby thing process ... :’-(
Nope...
“Maybe at it’s heart, Animal Crossing was always about that”
I recently bought this game because I’m really interested in the setting. I thought I could play it just for the single player “campaign”, but I was very unpleasantly surprised :(
